Michael S. Amster, MD, FAAP, practiced with Union Mill Pediatrics in Centreville for three years before opening Warrenton Pediatrics. Dr. Amster, a board-certified pediatrician, completed his residency in pediatrics at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Richmond, earning the highest in-service exam score each year of the program. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has a degree in biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He studied antibiotic resistance in staphylococcus aureus at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Amster combines his up-to-date medical knowledge and a love of children to provide the highest quality of health care. At Warrenton Pediatrics, families will find a responsive staff committed to meeting their needs in a comfortable environment.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Amster now lives in Warrenton with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association and the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce. He is a rugby player, a martial arts enthusiast, and a sports fanatic.

Nina Smith, LPN, nursing supervisor, has more than 20 years of experience at Union Mill Pediatrics and Sleepy Hollow Pediatrics. She always wanted to be a nurse, and when her family moved to Texas from Ohio, she graduated from Del Mar College’s nursing program and earned her LPN. She moved to Virginia in 1985. Nina and her family started camping at Lake Anna eight years ago, and she moved there four years ago with her husband and son, Ben. She loves fishing, camping, boating, reading, and music. She is also a fan of football, Nascar, NHRA, and basketball. |

Kris Russell, CMA, office manager, was a nurse and billing manager at Union Mill Pediatrics for 10 years. She also has experience as an administrative medical assistant at Fox Mill Family Practice and Fox Mill Podiatry Center. At Warrenton Pediatrics, you’ll find her working with patients behind the front desk and as a nurse. Born in California, she has lived in Virginia for more than 35 years. She enjoys baking, cake decorating, watching football with family and friends, and spending time with her husband, Bryan, and son, Riley. |

Rebecca Moody, front staff, has 15 years of experience in the medical profession as a receptionist, phlebotomist, certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, medical records coordinator, consultation examination scheduler, patient services coordinator, and medical office manager. A native of Northern Virginia, she attended Northern Virginia Community College and York (Pa.) Vocational Technical. She has been married for three years and has a stepdaughter. Rebecca loves animals and has a dog, a cat, and a rabbit. She enjoys camping, fishing, movies, and watching football, especially the Redskins. |
